Bank Transfers


Bank Transfers record the movement of funds between two accounts for which you are tracking transactions in AccountingSuiteâ„¢.

Creating a Bank Transfer


To record a bank transfer:

  1. Navigate to Bank → Bank Transfer.
  2. Adjust the date, if necessary.
  3. Enter an Account from: and an Account to: by choosing accounts from the drop-down lists.
  4. Enter the amount that is being transferred in the Amount field.
  5. Enter a memo. (optional)
  6. Click Save to save a draft or Post and Close to finish.

  • The system will automatically generate the Bank Transfer Number for you. You may over-ride the number by tying a different number in the Number field. You may also set up the starting number in the Document Numbering utility.
  • To attach a file to the bank transfer, click the Attached Files button.
  • To view associated General Journal transactions, click the General Journal link near the top of the screen.
