How To Integrate AccountingSuite with Knowi

Create a New Data Source on Knowi

You will need to create separate data sources for Daily Snapshots and Financial Performance.

  • The daily_snap data source provides daily usage data. https://apps7.accountingsuite.com/a/{account_number1}/hs/data_mart/daily_snap/
  • The financial_performance data source provides financial performance information (turnovers) for a given date. https://apps7.accountingsuite.com/a/{account_number}/hs/data_mart/financial_performance/

In the example below, we will use Daily Snapshots as Data Source.

  1. Select Datasources from the left menu.Figure 1, Creating a datasourceFigure 1, Creating a datasource
  1. Select External → {REST} as the Data Source type.

  1. Configure the new Data Source.
    1. Datasource Name: Give a friendly name for this new Data Source.
    2. Rest Host: https://apps7.accountingsuite.com/a/%7Baccount_number%7D/

Replace {account_number} in below URL with your AccountingSuite Account Number.
  • User ID for Basic Authentication: Your username for the AccountingSuite Account.
  • Password for Basic Authentication: Your password for the AccountingSuite Account.
  1. Click Save.

  1. Click on Start Querying button.


  1. On the New Query page:
    1. Select the Data Source you saved above.
    2. Report Name: Give a friendly name for this new Report.
    3. Description: Give a friendly description for this new Report.
    4. End Point: “hs/data_mart/daily_snap/”
    5. POST: Leave it unchecked. The request is GET.
    6. URL Params: “BeginOfPeriod=20160101&EndOfPeriod=20161231”. 2
    7. Overwrite Strategy: All.
    8. Scheduling: Please configure it based on your needs. We recommend once a day refresh.
  2. Click on Save & Run Now button.
