What is the difference between Post and Close, Post and Save buttons?
SAVE, POST and POST AND CLOSE
When you are creating any document in AccountingSuite like Sales Orders, Item Receipts, Invoices, etc you have the option to Save, Post or Post and Close. Here are the major differences between these three choices.
You may save the document as a draft by clicking Save*. If you haven't yet clicked post, this will save the document with a status of draft. Basically it means "I'm not yet done with this yet."
Once you have finished creating a document, click Post to "finalize" it and keep it open for further editing or reference. It is at this point that you may continue on with the next document in the workflow.
Post and Close will Finalize the document and also close it.
*Once a document has been initially posted, the Save button acts just like the Post button.
