Note: The instructions below are meant for someone with more than average technical knowledge. If you are having difficulty, you may wish to consult with an IT contact at your company for assistance.


How To Integrate AccountingSuite™ with Klipfolio:


The steps below will create a connection between AccountingSuite and Klipfolio so that your data can be sent securely for the purpose of creating reports at Klipfolio. Let’s Go!

Create the connections. You will need to create two separate connections: One for the Daily Snapshots and the other for the Financial Performance data.

1. Click Data Source on the left menu then click Create New Data Source button located on the upper right hand side of the screen.

2. Choose a connector. On Core Connectors column (right), select REST/URL.

3. Setup a New Data Source.
  1. In the Query URL field enter the following:
    https://apps7.accountingsuite.com/a/%7Baccount_number%7D/hs/data_mart/daily_snap/

    Be sure to replace the {account_number) with your 7 digit account number found in the upper left hand corner in AccountingSuite.

    For example: https://apps7.accountingsuite.com/a/1100755/hs/data_mart/daily_snap

  2. Choose JSON from the Data Format drop-down.
  3. Choose GET in the Method drop-down
  4. Choose Query Parameters(optional)

    We provide 2 optional parameters for entering the period. The date format is yyyyMMdd – four digit year, two digit month (from 01 to 12) and two digit day (from 01 to 31). In the example below, data for the year 2016 would be retrieved.

    Parameter Name: BeginOfPeriod, Value: 20160101
    Parameter Name: EndOfPeriod, Value: 20161231

  5. Define Authentication.
  1. Choose Basic HTTP Authentication from the drop-down, enter your credentials and click the Get Resource button.
  2. Username: Your username for the AccountingSuite Account.
  3. Password: Your password for the AccountingSuite Account.

4. Check the data. Verify the fetched data is what is expected and click Continue.

5. Save the Data Source.
  1. Name: Give a friendly name for this new Data Source.
  2. Description: Give a friendly description for this new Data Source.
  3. Queue for Refresh: Set how often the data should be refreshed.
  4. Sharing: Select permissions.
  5. Click on Save.
